Having a refined design sensibility and technical knowhow, the owners were looking to expand their usable interior space by weatherizing an existing rear porch. Moreover, this renovation exercise prompted the remodeling of the porch facades which were to receive an updated finish package. This included a new board & batten fiber cement siding system, new exterior door configuration, and a new window package. The latter providing a panorama view from the now interior sitting space of the side and rear yards.
Additionally, being a Certified Passive House Designer, the owner became an active member of the design team prompting specific requirement and assemblies for the insulative purposes at these new exterior surfaces.
